‘Friends’ Reunion Heads to HBO Max This May

By Sara Roncero-MenendezMay 13, 2021

Grab your Central Perk mug, take the turkey off your head, and gather around on a Thursday night to watch Friends: The Reunion, bringing together everyone’s favorite gang on HBO Max.

Yes, everyone from the original core cast is coming back: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer. The teaser trailer released by HBO Max doesn’t show off a heck of a lot, but we can assume it’ll look somewhat like the Fresh Prince reunion looked like when it came out on HBO Max. Am I sensing a trend?

Here are all the guest stars set to appear on the special besides the main cast:

  • David Beckham
  • Justin Bieber
  • BTS
  • James Corden
  • Cindy Crawford
  • Cara Delevingne
  • Lady Gaga
  • Elliott Gould
  • Kit Harington
  • Larry Hankin
  • Mindy Kaling
  • Thomas Lennon
  • Christina Pickles
  • Tom Selleck
  • James Michael Tyler
  • Maggie Wheeler
  • Reese Witherspoon
  • Malala Yousafzai

BTS and Malala? Now that’s some pull right there. Though, real talk, should they not have called the special itself “The one with the reunion”? Just a thought.

Friends: The Reunion premieres on HBO Max on May 27, 2021.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
