ASUS x Gundam Crossover makes me wish I had money

By Karl SmartMay 13, 2021

EB Games in Australia announced on their Twitter page that they are releasing some very awesome computer hardware, mainly monitors and routers from the ASUS x Gundam range.

There are two versions of each unit available, with each showing a different color scheme based on the model RX-78-2 Gundam from the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam series (aka the most well-known model of Gundam) and the MS-06 Zaku II (Red variation).

The RX-78-2 Mobile Suit Gundam series is an Asus ROG Strix XG279Q-G Gaming Monitor & RT-AX82U Router respectively. They function the exact same as their non-Gundam counterparts, just with these amazing paint works on them.

The MS-06 Zaku II is an Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQGL1A Gaming Monitor & RT-AX86U WiFi router respectively, also functioning as their non-Gundam counterparts.

EB Games is releasing these units on June 29, 2021 at the following prices: (Prices in AUD$, no source for USD$ price or suppliers.)

Asus ROG Strix XG279Q-G Gundam Edition Gaming Monitor: $1,199 ($200 pre-order deposit)
Asus RT-AX82U Gundam Edition Gaming Router: $599 ($50 pre-order deposit)
Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQGL1A ZAKU II Edition Gaming Monitor: $899 ($100 pre-order deposit)
Asus RT-AX86U Zaku II Edition Gaming Router: $549 ($50 pre-order deposit)

With only 30 units of each monitor and router available Australia-wide via EB Games, there is a good chance that these are all going to be sold out very quickly… Damn it.
