People Can Fly has provided an update on the inventory wiping glitch that has been affecting Outriders.

Via a recent Twitter post, the dev has stated they’ve implemented new preventative measures to combat the inventory wipes. According to them, this includes server-side changes, which have helped reduce the occurrences. But not stop them from happening.

They go on to mention they are testing a new game-side patch to further address the issue and will provide an update for when this will be available.

Lastly, they are still looking into how they’ll restore inventories of those who’ve encountered the glitch. More to come on that at a later date.

Since our last update, we have continued to monitor and implement preventative measures against inventory wipes.

These server-side changes have helped reduce occurrences since Saturday.

It’s good to see that they’re still working on eliminating this glitch, but I feel the damage here has been done. Between this glitch, which was also noticed in the demo, players have been soured on the game. This includes me, as I’ve grown fearful of attempting to go online. Which is part of the fun of the game, and not being able to do so, well it stinks. But refuse to play online and risk losing all my stuff.

Here’s to hoping they can get this glitch rectified, the sooner the better.
