The Binding of Isaac expansion, Repentance, launches March 31st

By Poch SaldanaJanuary 3, 2021

The seminal roguelike The Binding of Isaac has another expansion in the works with The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and it finally has a launch date (for PC anyway).

The meaty DLC will be coming to PC on March 31st of this year and to consoles at an unannounced later date. The update is touted to be incredibly substantial with dozens of new bosses, hundreds of new items, thousands of new room layouts, and much more. This will also be the near-decade-year-old title’s final major update.

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is being helmed by the team behind the popular fan-made expansion Antibirth which serves as the groundwork for Repentance as many of its new additions are already found in the fan passion project.

The original Binding of Isaac was a phenomenal game when it first released in 2011 and subsequent expansions only made it better and more addictive. We can only wait to see if Repentance can do the same but the team’s track record leaves little doubt that it will.

Big fan of games, writing, and writing about games! Two things Poch will always stand by--the Vita was ahead of its time and the world is a better place with a new Rhythm Heaven on the horizon.
