Dishonored Co-Creator Working on New Unannounced Project

By Poch SaldanaJanuary 6, 2021

In an interview with Vandal, and translated by IGN, Harvey Smith, one of the creators of the acclaimed Dishonored series, has stated that he is contributing to a new unanounced game at Arkane Austin alongside the team behind the first Dishonored and 2017’s Prey.

I’m not on Deathloop , I’m on something else, working with the guys who made Dishonored and Prey.

He also confirms that he is not involved with Deathloop, Arkane’s time-bending first-person shooter that has been getting some considerable buildup as one of 2021’s biggest releases.

Smith also commented on Microsoft’s ongoing acquisition of Arkane’s parent company, Zenimax Media, stating that he has not seen any noticeable differences in Arkane’s workflow. He also has glowing remarks for the partnership between Bethesda and Microsoft stating, “They fit perfectly.”

It’s unknown whether the unanounced project is a sequel or an entirely new IP  but Smith’s portfolio, which include Deus Ex and all Dishonored entries, should have Arkane fan’s excited.

Big fan of games, writing, and writing about games! Two things Poch will always stand by--the Vita was ahead of its time and the world is a better place with a new Rhythm Heaven on the horizon.
