Funimation is all about serving anime fans because we are anime fans!

2020 has been quite the year, so we at Funimation want to celebrate one of the magical things that has brought us together and gives us a sense of belonging — anime!

Right from the start , 2020 brought the goods with series like Toilet-bound Hanako-kun and Dorohedoro, which brought unique manga series to life on-screen. This year was also packed with an AMAZING slate of original works, including ID: INVADED, Akudama Drive, DECA-DENCE and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!

Seriously, whether you just wanted the next chapter of high-octane series like My Hero Academia and Haikyu!! or wanted something lovely to escape to like BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense, this year in anime had something for you.

Funimation’s team has picked some of our favorite anime from a manic 2020. From Aaron Walsh and Holly Tennant in Brand Management to Haley Whisennand and Nicholas Friedman in Audience Development, from Matthias Jambon-Puillet across the pond in Europe Marketing to Fiona Wilkinson Down Under in Theatrical Marketing, we invite fans to check out their picks on the Funimation Blog here
