PC Specs for Godfall have been announced

Quite tame specs if you ask me

We’re officially 10 days away from the release of Godfall, and today Counterplay Games and Gearbox have finally released the PC specs. Godfall is labeled as a looter-slasher, though it seems more similar to an action-RPG, with elements from games such as Diablo. Though, as I understand it, there’s a huge focus on combat and the weapon system, something I’m looking forward to checking. Below you can see your PC can handle the game or if you’ll need to upgrade.

Minimum PC Specs

  • Windows 10
  • AMD Ryzen 5 1600, Intel Core I5-6600 or beyond
  • 12GB RAM
  • AMD Radeon RX 580, 8GB // NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB or beyond

Recommended PC Specs

  • Windows 10
  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Intel Core I7-8700 or beyond
  • 16GB RAM
  • AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, 8GB // NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TI, 11GB or beyond

While the specs have been announced, there’s still quite a bit of information missing. Initially, it was mentioned that the PS5 and PC versions of Godfall would include Ray Tracing effects. However, with a GTX 1080 TI mentioned under recommended specs, I’m starting to wonder if Ray Tracing will be included at launch. Especially given that the GTX 1080 Ti doesn’t support hardware-based Ray Tracing. Both the provided specs are also quite tame in both the CPU and GPU requirements, making me wonder if we’re looking at 1080p 30 or 60 frames per second for both. As such, we’ve reached out to Counterplay Games to find out what’s going on with Ray Tracing and what hardware is being recommended for enabling it.

If you haven’t been following Godfall, there’s quite a bit of lore surrounding the game. Thankfully, one of the better lore masters on YouTube, My Name is Byf, know for his Destiny 2 lore videos, has been working directly with Counterplay Games to provide some much-needed lore loving. So far, two videos have been released, and I implore you to give them a watch and see what’s in store for you when Godfall eventually is released.

Godfall releases on November 12th, 2020, for both the PlayStation 5 and PC (Epic Games Store).
