Ever since its launch in 2017, the Nintendo Switch has been a powerhouse of sales in virtually all the ways that matter. It continually brings in big numbers for Nintendo all over the world, even during the pandemic era that is 2020, Switch sales still thrive.
Its United States sales have been especially impressive, and now, a brand new record has been set by the Switch after being No.1 yet again in September:

Think about that, 22 months of complete dominance. And if we’re being fair, that’s not going to end until November more than likely when the PS5 and the Xbox Series X arrive. Even then though, it might be a closer fight than some think.
So that would mean that the Nintendo Switch has had 2 years of complete dominance, and that’s not including all the sporadic non-consecutive months where the Switch and the PS4 battled for the top spot. No matter what way you look at it, the Switch has been a boss.
