Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man: Miles Morales has gone gold

By Keith MitchellOctober 9, 2020

Add one more to the “Gone Gold” pile as Insomniac Games has announced that Spider-Man: Mile Morales has gone gold. The company spread the news today via a tweet with perhaps one of the best Spider-Man gifs that I’ve seen in a while.

We are pleased to announce that #MilesMoralesPS5 and #MilesMoralesPS4 have Gone Gold and will be sneaking into your hearts globally on November 12th! #BeGreater #BeYourself pic.twitter.com/YSrtL2pE6h

For those that aren’t in the know when a game has “gone gold” it means that the final master copy has been finished by the developer and has been sent off for replication, packaging, and distribution. Meaning that’s one more game we’ll be able to play when November 12th, 2020, comes around.

Not only is Spider-Man: Miles Morales a launch title for the PlayStation 5, but it will also be available for the PlayStation 4. Yep, you’ll be able to play it on both the current generation (PS4) and the next generation. That way no one misses out. It also works out if you either weren’t ready to jump to the PS5, to simply couldn’t get a pre-order in.

In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, no only will we get to play as Miles Morales but we’ll also take on a new villain, and seeing a different perspective of being the other Spider-Man. Don’t expect the same experience as the first Spider-Man game, as Miles has completely different abilities, including his Venom Strike and his ability to camouflage himself to go stealth.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales launches exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12th, 2020. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to get my hands on it in a little over a month now.
