“It’s Godzilla!” Kaiju Costume Coming to Fall Guys

By Andrew AgressOctober 30, 2020
Fall Guys Godzilla

“Life, uh, finds a way.” Sorry, wrong film quote about a large reptilian beast destroying things. Gameshow royale game Fall Guys has a new officially licensed costume for players to download. Who is it? It’s Godzilla! Okay, there we go.

In honor of Godzilla’s 66th birthday (lookin’ good, big guy), or rather the 66th anniversary of the original Toho film, Fall Guys will add a Godzilla costume on November 3rd. Over the years, we’ve seen many different iterations of Godzilla, some better than others. The most recent of these came in last year’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters. As such, the Godzilla costumes in Fall Guys will come in a variety of colors. Hypebeast shares some words from Mediatonic Creative VP Jeff Tanton, who makes some astute comparisons between Godzilla and the Fall Guys bean people:

There are many parallels to be drawn between the mighty Godzilla and an average Fall Guy; they are both fiercely competitive, they battle on an international stage with incredibly high stakes, they always get back up after being knocked down, and according to worrying reports from our social media channels, they are both much taller than you’d expect.

So there you have it. Will you be stomping through slime climb as Godzilla this November? In order to do so, you’ll need ten crowns in total. Five for the top, and five for the bottom, which is typical of most premier costumes. That being said, if you’re gonna go Godzilla, you really should go full Godzilla.

LOL

I can't explain how excited I am to let you know that GODZILLA will be coming to Fall Guys next week
