Harley Quinn Series Officially Renewed For Season 3!

Let’s rewind the clock a bit, ok? When DC Universe was announced, they revealed that they were going to be doing a LOT of new original shows. One of which would be a Harley Quinn animated series. It took a while, but they released Season 1 in 2019 and Season 2 not long after. It showed Harley breaking free of the clutches of the Joker to try and be her own epic villain and be recognized for her skill.

The show featured her and longtime BFF/girlfriend Poison Ivy recruiting various villains like Dr. Psycho, King Shark, Clayface and more to get stuff done. And fans…absolutely loved it. not the least of which was because of the gradual progression of the Harley/Ivy relationship (which DC Comics doesn’t like to acknowledge within the comics themselves…). Season 2 even ended with them being basically married (it’s complicated) and riding off into the sunset and getting chased by the police. Good times!

But, despite ALL the popularity and media attention the show got…Season 3 was not guaranteed. Even at DC Fandome (which many felt WOULD be the place it would get announced) no one would say a word about it. But now…

So yeah, it’s coming, and the team behind it are THRILLED!

Yes, it’s official. Thank you to everyone who supported this show, and continues to do so! It led to today. WOO F**KIN’ HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! pic.twitter.com/nNyKGhIXOI

Now, in a later interview after the announcement, the season is not likely to arrive until 2021, and late 2021 at that barring some fast animation done. But, don’t be sad, this is still a win Harley Quinn fans. The show WILL be back, and that’s important.
