Kaiten Books Announces Several New Releases

By Josh PiedraAugust 11, 2020

Kaiten Books announced that they have released several new titles and volumes in their ever-growing manga catalog! There are a few so let’s jump right into them, shall we?

Loner Life in Another World Vol. 2

Synopsis: TWO CAN BE AS BAD AS ONE!

Loner life in the forest was hard enough for Haruka, but now he has to make his way through the big city!

Tasked with protecting his classmates from ruffians and delinquents, our hero wants nothing more than to just relax on his own terms.
Unfortunately for him, the savvy class rep has him on a tight leash! But worry not, this loner’s got plenty of tricks up his sleeve!

Whether it’s enchanting magical items, acquainting himself with the adventurer’s guild, or finding a VERY unconventional way to fly through the sky…
Haruka’s ready to keep on fighting through any situation that comes his way!

Digital Release: July 10
Physical Release: TBA

UzaMaid: Our Maid is Way Too Annoying! Vol. 1

Synopsis: After the tragic loss of her mother, Misha Takanashi had all but shut herself away from the world. Her father desperately tried to hire new maids in order to take care of her and the housework while he’s busy with his own job, but it was to no avail as she manages to run them out of the position–all of them except one.

Before she knows it, Misha finds herself the center of attention of one Kamoi Tsubame, an eccentric ex-JSDF master sergeant who isn’t fazed in the slightest by Misha’s attempts to drive her away. Enamored by the adorable little girl, Tsubame makes it her personal goal to get Misha to open up her heart to her (and maybe even get her to wear the cute clothes she makes as well.)

While her intentions are (mostly) good, Tsubame has a habit of taking things to the extreme when it comes getting closer to Misha, leading to all sorts of crazy situations that exasperate her to no end.

Now, the pressure is on as Misha tries to find a way to deal with a maid who’s just way too annoying!

Digital Release: August 7
Physical Release: TBA

My Dad’s the Queen of All Vtubers!? Vol. 1

Synopsis: VTubers, these online entertainers have seen a sudden surge in popularity, capturing the hearts of millions.

But none of them have quite become as much of a household name as Kizuke Yai, the so-called ‘Queen of VTubers.’ Takashi, an average high-school student, is one of her biggest fans. He always tunes in to her broadcasts, and he might even have a little crush on her… Kizuke Yai is the real deal, an actual cute girl behind the screen, at least according to the rumors… But reality is often disappointing.

The Queen of all VTubers is actually Takashi’s dad.

The hapless youngster stumbles upon his old man’s dark secret, and soon finds himself flung into a nightmarish world of virtual song, dance, and endless cringe. Will Takashi succeed in getting his dad to quit, or will he find himself drawn deeper into the booming virtual scene despite this disillusionment?

Digital Release: July 24
Physical Release: TBA

Shed That Skin, Ryugasaki-san! Vol. 1

Synopsis: Ryugasaki-san is a lizardgirl. Her tongue is like that of a chameleon’s, her hands are like that of a gecko’s, and she even has a third eyelid!

Due to her unique biological makeup, she sheds her skin multiple times a year. This wouldn’t ordinarily be an issue, but she suddenly finds herself (or rather, her skin) the target of a classmate’s affections.

The peculiar Yugami-kun has a particular interest in reptiles, and Ryugasaki-san’s unique physiological features have caught his inquisitive, meticulous eye. Thus begins the story of a budding romance between two very unusual individuals. With a bit of luck, Ryugasaki-san can show the hapless Yugami-kun that there’s more to her than her reptilian anatomy!

Digital Release: May 15
Physical Release: TBA

Loner Life in Another World Vol. 1

Synopsis: “IS ONE REALLY THE LONELIEST NUMBER?

Haruka is just your average high school loner, minding his own business and keeping to himself as he makes it through his high school career, until one day—he’s suddenly sent to another world alongside the rest of his class!

Before he knows it, he’s face-to-face with the god of this new world, who presents him with a list of cheat skills to choose from…but there’s a catch. It’s first come first served, and his classmates have already beaten him to the punch.

Haruka has to make do with what he can get as he navigates his way through this brave new world, all while flying solo!”

Digital Release: March 31
Physical Release: August 19
