Shantae and the Seven Sirens to release on Steam and GOG

When Wayforward’s latest adventure, Shantae and the Seven Sirens was released, it was an Apple Arcade exclusive title. That all ends once May 28 arrives, and the title will be made available for other platforms. Which includes the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and the PC. However, when you talk about games being released for the PC, with the arrival of several other digital storefronts you then have to be specific as to which one a game will be made available on.

Case in point, we’ve seen several people ask as to what storefront the title was going to be released on. Including ourselves, so we reached out to Wayforward Technologies to see if they’d spill the beans. Luckily for all of us, they were more than forthcoming with the information.  When the title is released on May 28th, the PC version will be made available on both Steam and GOG.

So if you’d been looking forward to the release of the title, but you’re keen on keeping all your Shantae titles in one place. This latest bit of news should make you happy.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens expands on the story of the Half-Genies, as Shantae finds out that’s not only Half-Genie after all. The game will also feature several returning characters such as Shantae’s pesky nemesis Risky Boots, friends Bolo, Rottytops, and new characters as well. New gameplay mechanics include a new collectible card system and fusion dances with the help of the fusion coins. Of course, Shantae retains her magical Bellydancing powers as she dances her way into our hearts.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens will be released on May 28, 2020, for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam and GOG).
