Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary now available for PC

Hey, look at that! It’s March and out of nowhere, Microsoft and 343 Industries have unleashed the awaited Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for the PC. It’s currently available via Windows Store and Steam for $9.99. Or if you’re paying for Xbox Game Pass for PC, it’s included in the subscription. Or if you already own the Master Chief Collection, it’s also included.

“Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary* comes to PC as the second installment of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Now optimized for PC, relive the spectacularly remastered edition of the original Halo campaign, created in celebration of the 10th anniversary of one of the most beloved franchises in gaming history. After crash-landing on a mysterious ringworld known as Halo, the Master Chief is tasked with helping the remaining humans survive against the overwhelming Covenant forces. While doing so, he and Cortana uncover Halo’s dark secret and fight to protect all life in the galaxy.

It’s been forever since I’ve played the first game in the Halo series, and I’m super excited to dive back in. Especially with the enhancements that are available for the PC release. We’re talking 4K support, better visuals, higher framerates, ultrawide support, along with the same great gameplay we’ve come to expect.
