This is not a drill: Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo is LIVE

By Karl SmartMarch 2, 2020

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is not a drill. Only moments ago, a Tweet from the Official Final Fantasy VII remake page has stated that the demo is now LIVE on PS4

We've just released the free #FinalFantasy VII Remake demo on PlayStation Store.

What are you waiting for? Download it now and experience the beginning of the story for yourself! #FF7R

We have been training for this one people. We’ve seen the videos, some of us have played the demo at PAX and other places; but now is the time to go and get the thing for yourselves and give the demo a go.

I can personally confirm that the demo is live on the Australian PSN Store as you can see from the screenshot above. It’s also mention-able that this demo is only featuring the Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission. Also progress will NOT be carried over into the retail game as some demos seem to do these days, and of course since this is a demo; features, spells, actions, and other content may differ from the full retail edition. The download size for the demo is 7.6Gb. which on Australian internet is going to take about 2 hours.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available in stores on April 10th, 2020.
