Daemon X Machina coming to PC, will support higher framerates and 4K

By Keith MitchellFebruary 5, 2020
Daemon X Machina

You may have heard that Marvelous’s mecha title, Daemon X Machina, is being ported to the PC. Originally developed for the Switch, this game was one of my favorites of 2019 and I enjoyed most of the game – except for those massive framerate drops. Now that the game is coming to the PC, that will be a thing of the past.

Of course, since the title is coming to the PC, it will be ported with a few enhancements. According to Gamespark, Marvelous is adding support for higher resolutions, up to 4K. Higher framerates from; 30, 60, 120, 144, up to 200, high-resolution textures, and more advanced options such as Anti-aliasing and keyboard/mouse support. Sadly, the collaborated DLC that was released for the Switch version will not be included.

Daemon X Machina - my, you're a big boy

The store page for Daemon X Machina is currently up on Steam and the game is discounted to $47.99. Once the game is released, the price will jump up to $59.99, so if you’re interested (like I am) be sure to get it now.

Now, I’m not a future teller, but seeing how soon this game is being released (Feb. 13, 2020), it feels like this was Marvelous’s and XSEED Games’s plan all along. Don’t get me wrong, as I mentioned I enjoyed the game on Switch. But it was severely held back that’s to those framerate drops and clunky controls. All of which didn’t help the success of the game. When this does get released for the PC, I can see it selling much better due to its niche nature and that mecha based such as this tend to do well on the PC.

Now, if there was only a way to get cross-save in there, so I can export my game save from my Switch. In the meanwhile, why not check out our review of Daemon X Machina review on the Switch.
