The Nintendo Switch Has Surpassed 41 Million Units Sold

It’s been a big day for Nintendo as a whole, as they have released their second-quarter financials and there have been some very interesting surprises abound. First and foremost, the Nintendo Switch sales (which combine both the regular console and the Switch Lite model) have officially passed 41 million in sales.

This come from Nintendo proper who reveals that at the end of September the Nintendo Switch has sold an estimated 41.67 units worldwide. With sales of software for the Switch coming to 246 million worldwide. Which basically means that every single Switch out there on average has about 6 games if you wanted to stretch it out.

This is a very impressive quarter for the Switch sales wise as they sold over 4.8 million units backed by games like Fire Emblem Three Houses (which has passed 2 million in sales), Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening (which sold 3 million in 10 days) , Astral Chain, Daemon X Machina, Dragon Quest 11 S and more.

And now, with October ending (though not without releasing Little Town Hero and Luigi’s Mansion 3), we begin the countdown to Pokemon Sword and Shield, which will no doubt be a major seller on the Switch itself.

So all in all, it looks like the Switch is on a roll and Nintendo should be proud.
