Mike Ybarra is now Blizzard’s Exec. Vice President and General Manager

Ybarra’s now in Activision-Blizzard’s house

Earlier this month, we reported the Mike Ybarra, former Vice President at Xbox and Mixer was departing Microsoft. Before he left, he mentioned he was staying in the gaming industry and didn’t say where he was going. That is until today, as he announced he’s now the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Blizzard Entertainment.

Mike Ybarra is a fantastic person, a hard worker and has the skillset to help right the ship known as Blizzard. That said, I’m sure Mike has his work cut out for him. Especially after all the negative press that Blizzard has earned the past few weeks.

Either way, expect to see Mike Ybarra at Blizzcon 2019, where we may just hear about Diablo IV, a new Overwatch and maybe some other things. And if not, at least we now know that Activision-Blizzard has picked up some solid leadership
