Crunchyroll Celebrates 20 Years of One Piece

By Josh PiedraOctober 16, 2019

Crunchyroll announced that in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga, they will be creating the ultimate video timeline of the series! The timeline’s creation is scheduled to take place this weekend and will cover years 1999-2019.

Crunchyroll describes the project as follows:

There are 20 years of One Piece for Tim to go through and it might have broken him. This timeline hits the anime, the games, the live shows, and even the birth of Oda. You ever wanted to spend 2 hours watching someone descend into madness as they try to explain the way the calm belts work with a globe and whiteboard? Well, we got a video for you!

In addition, Crunchyroll has put together a video in honor of One Piece’s 20th anniversary… a video that took a month to create. Tim Lyu went the distance on this video as he watched all 31 arcs of One Piece, all 16 movies, played all 44 video games, and researched 20 live events to put together this video. I think he’s earned a watch or two, don’t you think?
