Nintendo to host a Nintendo Direct on September 4th

By Keith MitchellSeptember 3, 2019
Nintendo Direct Sept 4 2019

Surprise! Nintendo has announced that they’ll be hosting a Nintendo Direct on September 4th, 2019 @ 3PM PT / 6PM ET. That’s tomorrow!

Tune in 9/4 at 3pm PT for a #NintendoDirect featuring roughly 40 minutes of information focused on 2019 #NintendoSwitch games, including #PokemonSwordShield and #LuigisMansion 3.https://t.co/d1Xx3bDbhq pic.twitter.com/S8w1HkTg62

— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 3, 2019

This direct will run for 40-minutes and well find out more information on several upcoming titles, Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Luigi’s Mansion 3.  However, I doubt that’s all that Nintendo plans on talking about.

For the past few weeks, there’s been a lot of Nintendo-related rumors making the rounds. Not to mention that one Overwatch Switch case that showed up on Amazon and then was quickly removed. Needless to say, many people speculated that Overwatch would be making it to the Switch and it hasn’t been the first time this was brought up.

Then there’s the speculation of another Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character that is being introduced soon. It is an Overwatch character, or is it an SNK character as per the leaked documents from the European Nintendo website? What about that other document that showed off a wireless Super Nintendo controller a few weeks back? Are we finally going to get the announcement that Super Nintendo games are coming to the Switch?

We’re also hearing something about Banjo-Kazooie possibly being released for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate shortly after the Nintendo Direct. Seems like Nintendo has a lot going on this time. But what’s confirmed and what’s a rumor? Guess we’ll have to wait until this Friday to find out.

Catch the stream on Nintendo’s YouTube channel, or join us right here, tomorrow.
