By Josh PiedraAugust 26, 2019

VIZ Media and Rose City Games head to Seattle for PAX West 2019, taking place Friday, August 30th to Monday, September 2nd. The annual conference at the Washington State Convention Center is a premier Northwest showcase for gaming culture and the indie game industry. Details on PAX West are available at: west.paxsite.com.

This year, VIZ Media and Rose City Games highlight THE WORLD NEXT DOOR and the upcoming release of CAT LADY. Attendees are invited to play demos of both games at the Indie Megabooth, Booth #657. Play the CAT LADY demo and sign up for the gaming newsletter during PAX West to get gaming updates and receive an adorable CAT LADY enamel pin (while supplies last). Attendees can also purchase THE WORLD NEXT DOOR special bundle. The bundle includes a digital code for the game for both Nintendo Switch and PC/Mac via Steam, a digital prequel comic, the game’s soundtrack and an enamel pin of main character Jun’s mask, all for only $15, while supplies last.

In addition to participating at PAX West, CAT LADY and GARDEN STORY are official selections at The MIX Seattle 2019, a free-to-attend indie game developer showcase on Friday, August 30th. Details are available at: mediaindieexchange.com/event/the-mix-seattle-2019.

GARDEN STORY, the just announced new video game joining VIZ Media’s catalog, is being developed by Picogram and co-published by Rose City Games. The game will be an official selection for the 2019 Seattle Indies Expo, which takes place Sunday, September 1st. Details are available at: six.seattleindies.org.

About CAT LADY:
Cat Lady features a purr-fect blend of dual-stick shooter action, roguelike elements, and tons of collectibility. Swap and upgrade your feline friends to blast homey hauntings with magical spells, investigate randomly generated biomes to progress through multiple unique areas of the mansion, and uncover the spooky intentions behind your Grandma’s kidnapping and the parade of perilous poltergeists who stand in your way. Learn more about CAT LADY at catladygame.com.

About GARDEN STORY:
In GARDEN STORY, players take on the role of Concord, the newly appointed village guardian. There’s lots to keep this helpful adventurer busy; not only do your neighbors need assistance, but a mysterious Rot has also seeped into the foundations of the once flourishing island. Fortunately, Concord won’t be working at this alone. Help your friends with their struggles, and they’ll help you through yours.
