Square Enix announced via a brand-new preview trailer that Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered will release on September 3. The game will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
Much like previous remasters, the game will feature updated character models and enhanced graphics. The battle assist mode found in remastered versions of Final Fantasy VII and IX will also be making a return in this game as well. This includes turning off random encounters and boosting the speed for the game.
