NPD Has Revealed What 3rd Party Games Have Sold The Most On Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch is doing a great deal of promotion for games of all kinds. Its 1st party lineup is staggering despite only being in the 3rd year of its run. The system is getting indie titles sales that it’s not getting on other platforms, and the 3rd party games, both in terms of multiplatform titles and exclusives, is better than Nintendo has had in years.

To that end, the NPD has revealed which of these 3rd party titles has sold the best on Nintendo Switch here in the United States. And the results are a bit surprising. Not surprising is that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle continues to be the best-selling 3rd party title, as it was the first of the 3rd party games to reach 1 million sales and it’s been a good seller ever since.

However, seeing Crash Bandicoot, Diablo 3, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimat and the LEGO titles is a bit of a shock. Here is the complete list:

1 – Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
2 – Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
3 – Diablo III: Eternal Collection
4 – Just Dance 2019
5 – Just Dance 2018
6 – LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2
7 – LEGO The Incredibles
8 – NBA 2K18
9 – Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
10 – FIFA 18

To be fair, if the list was made to look at worldwide sales, the list would likely be very different. Octopath Traveler, the beloved old-school RPG, would likely be on the list as it’s sold nearly 2 million copies. And other titles would likely shift in place when adding in European and Japanese sales.

Still, it’s good to see that the Nintendo Switch is getting 3rd parties some sales as well.
