E3 2019: Gears Of War 5 Shows A Distressed Kait, Releases On September 10

At the end of Gears of War 4, we found out that Kait’s grandmother was Locust. Which lead many of us to assume that her grandmother was the queen of the Locust, Myrrah. Of which a large portion of Gears of War 5 is about Kait on a quest of discovery.

Now we know when we’ll get to play the new game, as the release date was announced, September 10, 2019. Preorder or play with Xbox Game Pass by Sept. 16, 2019, to get The Terminator Dark Fate Character Pack, which adds the Terminator T-800 Endoskeleton and Sarah Connor from the upcoming film “Terminator Dark Fate” as playable multiplayer characters.

That’s not all, as The Coalition also announced a new game mode called Arcade, a 3 player co-op experience. From what we’re seeing, looks like a mini-horde mode. There’s a technical multiplayer beta that will take place this July 2019.

Escape is a new, aggressive, high-stakes co-op mode featuring a three-player suicide squad that must work together to take out enemy hives from within, which we announced at the Xbox E3 Briefing. It’s everything you love about Gears, turned up to 11.

Those lucky enough to have a Microsoft store near them should give them a visit. There’s a high chance you’ll be able to get a taste of the Gears of War 5 Escape mode through June 10th, 2019.
