Jim Ross Joins All Elite Wrestling As Commentator

By Todd BlackApril 3, 2019
All Elite Wrestling

All Elite Wrestling is slowly but surely building up their roster to be a brand that can compete with just about anyone. And in the latest episode of The Road To Double Or Nothing, they revealed their announce team for the upcoming PPV event, and likely their team going forward. And the big reveal is them getting the one and only Jim Ross as their lead commentator.

For those who somehow don’t know Jim Ross, he was the voice of WWE and other promotions for years, and came to be a fan-beloved commentator alongside Jerry The King Lawler. He was so beloved that he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Since his departure from the company, he has gone on to do announcing for other promotions including NJPW, helping to bridge the gap between Japan and America for the promotion.

For All Elite Wrestling to get him is a huge deal, as it brings them not only a big name, but credibility in the announce team. Which is only strengthened by the reveal that PWG announcer Excalibur (who also did ALL IN last year) will be joining the announce team as well.

You can watch the full episode below and hear why Jim Ross feels he can be a huge asset to All Elite Wrestling. Double Or Nothing arrives from Las Vegas on May 25th.
