Hide Your Money, The Steam Winter 2018 Sale Is Live

Get ready to spend that cash on games that you may never play in your lifetime. It’s time for your backlog to get even larger, while you rack up even more games. That’s right folks, it’s time for Steam Winter 2018 Sale and it’s going on right now.

Starting today and up until Jan. 3, 2019, Valve is out to take every last dime you had saved for a rainy day. I’ve seen some AAA games going for some extremely cheap prices, such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to be for just $29.99, LEGO DC Super Villians at $19.99, Far Cry 5 for a sale at $23.99 and more. C’mon, you know you need these games.

And just like every year, there’s a nice little gimmick going on. This time we’re looking at the “Extremely Cozy Cottage”, where everyone who has a Steam account can snag some free items such as icons, backgrounds, and emotions. All you have to do is head on over to the Extremely Cozy Cottage each day, click on the door and you’ll be presented with the loots. Should you miss a day, not too worry as you have up until Jan. 3, 2019, to retrieve the previous day’s items. It’s all actually pretty cute and it does actually give you that nice and cozy feeling.

So don’t waste any time, those games are calling and you know you simply can’t resist. Damn it Steam, not again.

Still, even though we’re in the middle of this sale, it makes you wonder what else Steam has planned for the recent onslaught from both Epic Games and Discord. One thing is for sure, they’re going to need more than sales like these to stop companies from taking their games from the Steam platform. We’ve seen it happen a few times already and I don’t think that’s going to be stopping anytime soon.
