Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee Have Sold 3 Million Units

If for some reason you felt that Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee wouldn’t do well on the Nintendo Switch, you should remove those feelings right now. For you see, the Pokemon Company have revealed how the game has done, and it has done very well, especially when you compare how well it’s done compared to other Nintendo Switch games…in its first three days.

That’s right, as revealed on Twitter, the Pokemon Company has detailed that in its first three days of sales life (November 16th-18th), Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee combined sold 3 million units.

To put this in context for you, neither Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild nor Mario Kart 8 Deluxe nor Super Mario Odyssey did that well in its first three days. This makes the games the best-selling titles on Switch during their “launch week”. What’s more, this just counts the first three days, so it’s very possible that sales are even more now that the first full “week” is done.

Now, as some have noted, this is actually a bit less in sales than the last two “main’ titles with Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. But, the counter here is that Pokemon Let’s Go was meant to be a more casual experience, so while many of the “hardcore” fanbase may have dropped out, the casual market picked it back up, and many are very happy with the games.

We have our copies ourselves, and hope to get a review up for you soon.
