We’re finally getting some Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay on Aug. 9

Red Dead Redemption 2

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Rockstar Games has confirmed that they’ll finally show off some Red Dead Redemption 2 on August 9th. For those paying attention, that’s tomorrow.

This new footage will be shown off at 8 AM PDT/ 11 AM EDT . You’ll be able to catch the footage on rockstargames.com and at the official Rockstar Games YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels.

Prior to this announcement, several people on Twitter and Reddit had noticed billboards for the game started showing up in various cities. This helped stoke the speculation flames that we were going to see something soon. Or at least, sooner than Gamescom 2018.

😲 We're definitely getting that Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay this week. Can't wait! pic.twitter.com/5B75pwNmSX

This is pretty awesome news, especially for someone who never played the first game in the series. Yes, I know I need to rectify that and I plan on doing so. But right now, I just wanna see some sweet RDR2 gameplay. Helpfully we’ll get a look at more than a few minutes.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018.
