New but brief Mobile Suit Gundam NT teaser released

A new trailer for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam NT movie was recently released. In it, we get to see a bit more of the story and even a closer look at several mobile suits that will be showing up. With many of them being suits we’ve seen in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series. Those paying attention will also notice that Audrey Burne/Mineva Lao Zabi, the only survivor of the Zabi family, also makes an appearance.

I’m pretty excited about this new Gundam project and must have watched this trailer at least 10 times so far. The only downside is that this is a movie instead of a series. It’s also only slated to be released in Japan on November 30, 2018. There aren’t any plans at the moment to bring it to the West. I can only hope that changes as the popular for many anime, including Gundam have increased over the years.

Mobile Suit Gundam NT is an upcoming movie based in the Universal Century (U.C. 0097) storyline, which serves as original timeline. It takes place exactly one year after Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, where Banagher Links and Audrey Burne successfully unlock the secrets of Laplace’s Box. Which ended up being the true charter for the world and was supposed to pledge support for the new evolution of mankind; Newtypes.

However, things didn’t turn out as planned and nothing has changed. Then suddenly a new mobile suit called the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenexm, appears. Apparently, this suit had disappeared prior to the events of Mobile Suit Unicorn and hasn’t been seen until now. Which makes sense, as the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam was the first suit. With the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee being the second. I’m curious to see what this new (old) Gundam suit is capable of and how it compares to the original two.

Sunrise, if you see this, please consider bringing this to the West. Or at the very least, don’t take forever with the Blu-rays/DVDs. I really want to see this.
