Thanos Is Coming To Cause Havoc In Fortnite For A Limited Time

Oh, Snap!

There’s no denying that Fortnite is one of the hottest games to date, regardless of what platform you’re one. Then there’s the recent “Avengers: Infinity War” movie that’s setting the globe ablaze. I’ve already seen it twice. So, what would happen if you were to do a crossover event between the two?

We’re about to find out.

Marvel and Epic Games have announced that Fortnite will feature an Avengers: Infinity War crossover event.  Dubbed the “Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup”, Thanos will enter the fray so watch out. For a limited time, the infinity gauntlet will be placed somewhere on the map. Whoever finds it will turn into Thanos and will weld some sort of amazing power.

What it is we don’t know as of yet, since it wasn’t mentioned. One thing is for sure, there’s going to be some salt on the battlefield by whoever is on the receiving end. For folks who normally don’t stick around after they’re dead. This may be a reason to stay tuned to watch the ensuing madness.

The event will start on May 8th, 2018, however, there’s no mention as to when this will end. Which also happens to come along right in time. As season four of Fortnite’s Battle Royale has just kicked off, with superhero themes and a destructive meteor that rained down for the heavens. Perhaps it was Thanos who caused this all in the first place!

That all said, I’m a bit disappointed with this all. Why is Thanos the only one showing up? I’d love to get some Spider-Man, Captain America, and Black Panther skins into the game as well. Even if it is for a limited time. How about it Epic Games and Marvel?

Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode is free on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC Mac, and iOS. With rumors that it could also be heading to the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
