Thanos Gets A Nerf In Fornite’s Battle Royale Mode

I’d admit that I’m not exactly the best when it comes to Fortnite. Sure, I’ve gotten close to winning a couple of times, but far from being consistent. So when I heard that Thanos was coming to the game, I wasn’t sure what to think. But I figured it would be fun to play around as the mad titan a few times.

Well, that never happened. At least not yet, but you know what did? Me getting blasted by him. Over and over, until it was simply no fun. That freaking laser does a massive amount of damage to both opponents and structures. Apparently, other people were experiencing the same sensation, and Epic Games has already started to nerf Thanos. According to a post over on Reddit, a hotfix has been pushed that drops Thanos’s survival.

His shields and health have been lowered by 100, while his damage output has been dropped to 12 (from 15) per tick. That may not seem like a lot, but when Thanos has his sights on you, you may as well be dead. But at least you’ll have more of a chance to survive. It might not be much, but definitely more of a chance than those in Avengers: Infinity War had.

Thought at the same time, you got to wonder if nerfing the guy who possesses the infinity gauntlet should be a thing. If anything, I feel like he deserves a buff.

The Infinity War Fortnite crossover is for a limited time. We just don’t know when it’s going to end, so make sure you get a chance to check it out.
