Rival Megagun to Make Debut at BitSummit Vol 6 in Japan

By Ara AlexanderMay 9, 2018

Degica Games and Spacewave Software are bringing a hot new game to the table this weekend. Rival Megagun is a 1-2 player spaceship shoot-em-up. Charming cartoon avatars show off their different talents and ship layouts as players go head-to-head to determine the ultimate pilot. Invade your opponent’s screen to take potshots at their ship, and upgrade yours to its Mega Gunship form for an extra flair.

The game will be premiering at BitSummit in Kyoto, May 12-13. The development team plans to stream a Let’s Play from 14:30-15:00 JST, viewable from the Bitsummit Twitch channel or Degica’s Twitch channel. Additionally, from 12:00 to 12:30 JST on both days, players will be able to try their hand at the game against its creator. If they win, they’ll earn 2,500 Yen (or about $25) in Steam credit.

Rival Megagun will release in late 2018 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. You can add it to your Steam Wishlist here, and follow for more updates.
