Taki revealed for Soul Calibur VI via leaked Japanese trailer

Taki Soul Calibur VI

Taki, the Soul Calibur franchise mainstay who’s been part of the series since the original Soul Edge, will return for Soul Calibur VI. A Japanese-language trailer for the game, leaked ahead of an official announcement, show’s Taki in action.

The ninja Taki has appeared in all of the main Soul Calibur games to date, with the exception of Soul Calibur V, which featured her student Natsu. Soul Calibur VI’s version of Taki looks very familiar; she’s wearing her signature demon armor and bright red suit, and wields her dual kodachi daggers, named Rekki-Maru and Mekki-Maru in the game.

Other details about Taki’s return are still unknown. Today’s trailer leaked via Japanese video site Nico Nico, but many other people managed to snatch a copy of it before it was taken down. The trailer has been hit with the banhammer thanks to it’s leaked nature, but some sources have found ways to keep the trailer off BANDAI NAMCO’s radar for us to enjoy.

Soul Calibur VI is heading to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One later this year. So far, Bandai Namco has confirmed 11 characters — including Taki — for the game’s roster: returning fighters Siegfried, Ivy, Zasalamel, Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik, as well as newcomer Grøh and guest character Geralt of Rivia.

We will have more on Taki when her official reveal from BANDAI NAMCO is announced and more information is released.
