Inti Creates has announced a spinoff title for the Azure Striker Gunvolt series called Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX. The game will feature Copen as the sole playable character. The game is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch console but there hasn’t been any mention of a release time window just yet.
Based on the trailer, the gameplay looks very similar to Azure Striker Gunvolt. Copen was a playable character in the series’ sequel and has also made an appearance in Mighty Gunvolt Burst.
The announcement was made at the 2018 indie game festival BitSummit Vol. 6 in Kyoto, Japan. A trailer along with screenshots and a key visual was released along with the game’s announcement.
