The Call of Juarez: Gunslinger exchanges publishers

Towards the end of March 2018, many noticed that Call of Juarez: Gunslinger had disappeared from Steam. With no reason, the popular title published by Ubisoft was gone.  Leaving many of us scratching our heads as to why. Well, have an answer for what happened; Ubisoft simply lost the rights to the title.

The rights to the Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is no longer available for Ubisoft. Instead, those rights have been returned to Techland, who developed the title. Now that Techland is in the position to publish its own titles, they are putting both the Call of Juarez: Gunslinger back onto Steam.  As of today, gamers can pick up the title again via Steam, with a 33% discount. This offer will expire as of May 4, 2018. The same great game that many remember is just returning to the team that developed it. So put away those pitchforks, everything is going to ok.

Developed by Techland, the Call of Juarez series received a great reception and support from a huge community of players. As Techland Publishing moves forward as a leading publisher, we are delighted to welcome Call of Juarez: Gunslinger to our publishing division. We would like to thank Ubisoft for its incredible work publishing the Call of Juarez games. We’ll continue the great efforts of Ubisoft and support the fans of the Call of Juarez universe in the same dutiful and passionate way, says Adam Lasoń, CPO at Techland Publishing.

That said, now that Techland has the game under their publishing label. Perhaps we’ll finally see another game in the series, with Call of Juarez Gunslinger being released in 2013.
