Spyro the Dragon is coming to PS4 and XBox One, and it’s real this time.

By Ara AlexanderApril 5, 2018

PlayStation has just announced Spyro: The Reignited Trilogy for PS4 and XBox One at PAX East. The trailer shows Spyro in high-definition glory, radiant color and stunningly smooth graphics.

It’s everything a nostalgic fan could ever want, and it’s real: unlike a leak that happened earlier this year.

In March of 2018, a reddit user named “B4DASS” sent Spyro fans into a flurry, announcing a collection called “Spyro the Dragon: Treasure Trilogy.” Supposedly, these remastered games would be announced later that month, and released in September. When this didn’t happen, people were understandably confused, and many upset. The redditor released an apology:

I want this game to come out as much as everyone else. Literally just relaying info from someone who’s been right with everything he’s told me. It just so happens I’m the first one to post it on Reddit and a lot of people believe Reddit to be reliable, for whatever reason… Any credibility linked toward my account is based off rumours I’ve seen on Twitter and my “inside source”. Really didn’t think this post would blow up like it did to be completely honest.

We might never know whether B4DASS’s source was truly accurate after all, but one thing is for certain: This game is real, it’s beautiful, and it’s coming to PS4 and XBox One on September 21st, 2018.
