Footage Of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of DANA Running On The Nintendo Switch

It looks better than I expected

With Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA heading to the Nintendo Switch, NIS American has provided us with some footage.

Three shiny videos of the game running on the Nintendo Switch. And it looks way better than I figured it would. While not on par with the PlayStation 4, this definitely looks better than the PS Vita version. It also looks like the game is locked at 30 frames per second.  Still, the game could definitely improve, as this footage was captured from the developmental build.

It also looks like nothing has been removed. We can see the foliage blowing around, as well as the streams of water still flowing. The cut scenes don’t appear to be touched, at least for the PS4 version, at all.

I think it looks pretty good already. What do you think about the progress so far?

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of DANA releases on the Nintendo Switch this Summer 2018. The game is already available on the PS4 and PS Vita, with the PC version finally being released on April 16, 2018.
