Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’ Second Season Starts On June 22 On Netflix

By Keith MitchellMarch 6, 2018

Alright folks, we finally have confirmation on when Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2 drops. We’ll see the man of power’s second season on June 22, 2018.

We don’t know much about what’s going to take place during season 2, other it takes place after ‘The Defenders’. Here’s a brief summary from Netflix;

After clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem, with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Based on that, it looks like Luke will be pushed to that limit that most heroes face – where do you draw the line? Do you cross the line for the greater good or do you do just enough that you don’t lose yourself? Sure, it’s cliche’ but it’s also a great measuring stick for superheroes.

My only question is who exactly will Cage be up against? With both Cottonmouth and Diamondback already out of the picture, who will they pit against Cage? Perhaps Black Mariah? Big Ben Donovan? Maybe we’ll see the return of Shades, a character who is known to keep popping up in the Luke Cage comics, again and again. Though, truth be told, I’d like to see the Bushmaster be the next guy that we see.

Not only was he able to match Luke Cage in strength. He also went under same treatment that gave Cage his powers and had become stronger than him. Forcing Cage to get the assistance of his friend, Iron Fist, to take him down.

Then again, it could be a completely new character. We’ll find out soon enough.

June 22nd can’t get here soon enough!
