The A-01 Podcast #22 – Looking Back, Looking Forward

By Josh PiedraDecember 17, 2017
Podcast

Welcome back to another edition of the A-01 Podcast. Due to holiday scheduling, we weren’t able to do a podcast for November, but we have rectified that with a double-length podcast for you this month! Come check it out as we say goodbye to 2017 and say hello to 2018, our third year as a podcast! We would have become the A-03 Podcast, but spoiler alert… we got held back another year. We all blame Matt because it’s always fun to blame Matt (and typically, you would be correct to do so about 85% of the time.)

Hosts

Matthew Paul
William Kok
J.J. Piedra

Topics

  • Analyzing the trailer for Battle Angel Alita
  • Ruroni Kenshin going on indefinite hiatus
  • Looking forward to 2018 Anime
  • Looking forward to 2018 Manga
  • Looking back at 2017 Manga
  • Looking back at 2017 Anime

Also, this episode of the A-01 Podcast is sponsored by Josh’s book series, Final Hope whose second volume is available just in time for the holiday season!! (How convenient, right!?) I mean, what would our anime/manga podcast be if we didn’t shamelessly plug his original English light novel on the show and in the show notes on the website? Clearly this isn’t an abuse of power, right? RIGHT!? (Okay, it is, but you can help yourself feel better about it by just going to Amazon and buying the book! No, really… it works! Once you read it, you’ll feel instantly better about us shamelessly plugging it because you’ll enjoy the story so much you won’t even be mad anymore!)

Wait… you’re actually convinced that you want to buy the book? You say that you should have been given the links to it yesterday? Well, say no more, friend! We got you covered!

Final Hope Vol. 1 (Digital): https://www.amazon.com/Final-Hope-Joshua-Piedra-ebook/dp/B0722M25GV
Final Hope Vol. 1 (Physical): https://www.amazon.com/Final-Hope-1-Joshua-Piedra/dp/197963145X

Final Hope Vol. 2 (Digital): https://www.amazon.com/Final-Hope-Joshua-Piedra-ebook/dp/B077M79QRS
Final Hope Vol. 2 (Physical): https://www.amazon.com/dp/1979904588/sr=1-1/qid=1513537087

There! That’ll teach Keith not to include Josh’s book in The Outerhaven Holiday Gift Guide! Seriously, though.. go browse our gift guide while listening to our show so you can buy the wrong gift for your friend/family member/significant other, but then claim it for yourself when they don’t want it!
