New Star Wars Battlefront II Trailer Showcases Starfighter Assault Mode

By Keith MitchellAugust 19, 2017
Star Wars Battlefront 2

In a new trailer from EA and Dice, we finally get some insight regarding Star Wars Battlefront II’s new Starfighter Assault mode. Here players will be able to strap into their favorite Star War starfighters and take part in several epic space battles. EA is promising that there will be battles that take place throughout three cinematic Star Wars eras.

Not mention deeper customization, a role-based team play featuring an all new class-based system and even tighter controls. Sounds pretty exciting and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on Star Wars Battlefront II.

EA will also stream live Starfighter Assault gameplay during Gamescom 2017, on August 21 at 9:30am PDT/6:30pm CET. There, 24 players will face off in the Fondor: Imperial Shipyard map, weaving around an Imperial Star Destroyer. To check out the stream, head on over to EA.com during the announced times.

For updates on Starfighter Assault and the new hero ships that will be revealed during Gamescom, head to the EA Star Wars blog.

Star Wars Battlefront II will be released worldwide on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17. In this sequel to Star Wars Battlefront II, EA and Dice have included single player campaign mode. In addition to the Starfighter mode, this follow-up is shaping up to be a welcomed surprise.
