Check Out Nintendo’s Metroid: Samus Returns TV commercial

While most gaming companies have left the TV medium and have moved their focus to the internet and social media forms of advertising, Nintendo is still in the game. If you happen to watch TV, then Nintendo wants to remind you of a certain someone making their return. That person is Samus Aran, the star of the upcoming 3DS title, Metroid: Samus Returns.

You may have heard of her, once or twice through your gaming journey.

A reimaging of the Gameboy title, Metroid II: Samus Returns (and I game I played the hell out of) is a 2D title with new controls and upgrades to the tried and true Metroid formula. Like Amiibos? Good, because you’ll be able to use several exclusive Amiibos that are getting released along side this title. Those Amiibos will open up in-game content such as missile tanks, a new game mode and more. But be quick about it, those things are going fast.

Metroid: Samus Returns releases on September 15th, 2017, and I can’t wait to get back into some more Metroid. And while you’re picking up your copy, don’t forget to check out (or own) the new Metroid-themed New 3DS.
