Geese Howard Reppuukens into Tekken 7

By Karl SmartJuly 16, 2017
Geese Howard

Tonight at the EVO Tekken 7 finals, the series director Katsuhiro Harada took to the stage to introduce the second guest character for Tekken 7: Fatal Fury boss character and all around pain in the ass, Geese Howard. You can see the announcement trailer below:

As you can see from the clip, Geese Howard comes into the game complete with every move he has had in the Fatal Fury series. I also think he comes with his own special multi tier stage as well reflecting his own castle stage from Fatal Fury games. Geese Howard will be available in the Winter 2017 DLC pack available on his own and as a part of the Tekken 7 DLC Season Pass. The first DLC pack, which includes an updated version of Tekken Bowling, will be available in August.

Geese joins Street Fighter’s Akuma as the second non-Namco guest character in the fighting game series. While it has been no surprise that Namco and Capcom were working together to bring Street Fighter characters into the Tekken universe, it was a complete surprise that SNK would have one of its most well-known villains as part of the Tekken 7 lore. Capcom and SNK have, of course, crossed over their characters in titles like the Capcom vs. SNK franchise, but this is the first time we’ve seen an SNK character tussle with Namco’s finest.
