Tonight WWE announced that former two-time WWE champion Seth Rollins is going to be the cover Superstar for the upcoming WWE 2K18 from 2K Games. The cover announcement comes via an interview with Seth Rollins himself on ESPN‘s Sportcenter, which you can watch below:

Using the tagline “Be Like No One”, 2K Games then released a trailer for WWE 2K18 which features a fully black clad Rollins making his way through a WWE Museum featuring outfits and items from such WWE Legends like Ric Flair, Brutus The Barber Beefcake, The Undertaker, Mankind and many others; setting all the items on fire or smashing them with one of Sting’s baseball bat before stopping to have a moment with the status of Andre The Giant… Then smashing it’s head off. The trailer ends with Seth Rollins setting the whole building on fire before revealing himself to the camera. If you want to see it all in action, you can in the video below.

If you are interested in the making of the WWE 2K18 cover reveal trailer, you can watch this interview and making of video from DenkOps – Chris Denker on Youtube

“Following in the footsteps of other WWE 2K cover Superstars — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar — I now carry the torch and proudly represent a new generation of WWE Superstars,” Rollins said in a press release. In addition to the Seth Rollins cover reveal, and the fact that this makes Seth Rollins the first official playable WWE Superstar on the WWE 2K18 roster, 2K Games has released some details about the versions of the game that will be available for Playstation 4 & Xbox One on October 17, 2017.

Seth Rollins

  • The WWE 2K18 Standard Edition, which includes a physical or digital copy of WWE 2K18 as well as a pre-order bonus.
  • The WWE 2K18 Deluxe Edition, which includes all the Standard Edition benefits plus access to the WWE 2K18 Season Pass, bonus digital content and early access to the game four days prior to release.
  • The WWE 2K18 Collector’s Edition, which includes all the Deluxe Edition benefits except the option of a digital download. However, players who pick up the Collector’s Edition will receive exclusive physical WWE collectibles.

The WWE 2K18 Standard Edition will retail for $59.99USD / $99.95AUD with the Deluxe Edition retailing for $89.99USD / $144.95AUD. The Collector’s Edition, which will probably feature a different special WWE Superstar in that version has no retail price or any other information at this time. However the Deluxe and Collector’s Edtions will allow gamers to play the game 4 days early on October 13, 2017.

While American retailers have yet to mention what their pre-order bonus will be, Australia’s EB Games has announced a special bonus for pre-ordering there: The ‘Seth Rollins: Building The Architect’ DVD set from Madman Entertainment. It should be noted that this is NOT the official pre-order bonus that is available for all versions of WWE 2K18.
