PlayLink Brings Multiplayer Fun to the PS4 this Summer

By Yhani JonesJune 13, 2017

Playing with friends will be easier than ever with the latest announcement of PlayLink for the PlayStation 4! There will be no need to go out and grab extra DualShock 4 controllers since this game can be played using just one PS4 console and something that nearly everyone has in their pockets these days, a cell phone! To get an idea of PlayLink and its features, take a look at the E3 reveal trailer below!

Once you and your friends download and install the free companion app to their smart phone or tablet, you’re ready to start the party! PlayLink games turn your smartphone or tablet into a versatile controller where you can swipe, pinch, drag, tilt, rotate and even snap cool selfies and draw fun doodles. You’ll find out exactly how your smart phone can assist you depending on the game you chose.

The first PlayLink title to be available at launch is That’s You!. Those with active PlayStation Plus memberships will gain access to the game at no cost on July 4th in celebration of its release. This could be an excellent ice-breaker game perfect for your upcoming fourth of July party!

A comedy quiz. featuring more than 1,000 questions that will invite you and up to five friends to get personal and find out what you guys really think about each other. Take a look at the game being played with Shuhei Yoshida himself in the trailer below.

In addition to That’s You!, the creators of Until Dawn, Supermassive Games talk about their new game Hidden Agenda, which will also be coming to PlayLink. This immersive multi-player experience, will force players using their device and companion app to make drastic decisions to help influence the overall narrative. Though everyone will be engaging in the same story, not all of you will be working towards the same objective. Take a look at this experience in a brief introductory trailer below.

Other PlayLink titles coming later this year are to include Knowledge is Power, Frantics, and SingStar Celebration with even more in the works from the global developer community.
