Fire Emblem Heroes Getting Major Update

By Todd BlackJune 30, 2017
Fire Emblem Heroes
This was the moment I knew I needed Fire Emblem Heroes.

One of the things that makes Fire Emblem Heroes so fun is that it’s constantly growing and updating. We recently got version 1.4, but Nintendo is already planning for version 1.5! And with it comes so BIG additions to the game, as well as some adjustments.

All this information was revealed by Nintendo (and shown off by NintendoEverything), we’ve taken the best parts and put them below.

First off, there will be new modes coming with the update via Chain Challenge and Squad Assault. Chain Challenge has you taking on multiple maps in a row. While Squad Assault is something even harder:

Fire Emblem Heroes

“Clear Chain Challenge on Normal and Hard to earn Hero Feathers, and clear on Lunatic to earn Orbs.

Squad Assault is a very difficult mode where Heroes will be captured by the enemy after completing a map. Once captured, they cannot be deployed again until the challenge ends. Clear this mode to earn Sacred Seals and Orbs!

We plan to expand both Chain Challenge and Squad Assault as new story maps are added.”

Other changes include how EXP is distributed and earned in the game. For example, staff users will get more EXP now when healing others. Also, how much EXP your 5-star characters get is also going to increase.

Furthermore, the Tempest Trials will return, but with them comes changes. If you beat or hurt an enemy, but then lose the battle, their HP will remain what they were before you lost.

Other adjustments include a bigger barracks, easier purchases, more info on Summoning Focus Groups, and more! Fire Emblem Heroes keeps getting bigger, and we love it!

In fact, we did a whole segment on Fire Emblem Heroes on the latest Nintendo Entertainment Podcast!
