Number 1 draft pick and Rookie of the Year in 2011. 4x NBA All Star, 2x Eastern Conference Champion. NBA Champion. Now the star one guard of the Cleveland Cavaliers Kyrie Irving can add NBA 2K cover athlete to his resume, as 2K sports unveiled their newest cover for NBA 2K18.
Irving was previously featured on the ill-fated NBA Live 14 cover, however he had this to say about being chosen for NBA 2K18:
“It is well known that I’m an avid player of this series and I am honored to be the cover athlete of NBA 2K18…It’s surreal to be featured on the cover and I can’t wait to dominate on the virtual court with all of my fans this fall.”
Kyrie Irving averaged 25.2 points per game this past regular season, and is averaging 24.5 points per game so far during the Playoffs.
As highlighted when Shaquille O’Neal was revealed as the Legend Edition cover athlete, players who pre-order NBA 2K18’s standard edition, will receive:
