Leaks Are Bad For The Gaming Industry

By Keith MitchellMay 31, 2017

Where’s my hype factor?

Not being a fan of leaks, especially when big gaming conventions are right around the corner. Yet, it seems the closer we get to the events, the more leaks are released upon the net. And I for one am getting pretty frustrated about it all. How are fans supposed to be hyped about announcements if they’re all leaked before the actual event? How do companies think about this and could this actually backfire and cause some unseen issue as a result?

I tackle this with some thoughts of my own in today’s short video blast. Give it a listen, I’m sure there are a few topics I touch upon that you’re either going to agree or disagree with. Either way, be sure to let me know what you about this in the comments below.

Lastly, we’ll be present at E3 2017. Be sure to check out our content, starting on June 11, as we attend both Microsoft’s and Bethesda’s press conferences.
