Digital Foundry’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Comparison Video Is Live

By Keith MitchellApril 20, 2017
Nintendo Switch launch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Just two months after the Nintendo Switch launch we'll have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Who do you call when you want a highly technical breakdown of a game? Well, we’d love to say it would be us, but we all know that honor goes to Digital Foundry. This time around, they’re comparing the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch, against Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U and even the 3DS’s Mario Kart 7.

As always, they’ve created a very in-depth video, breaking down the title and giving you the info you want to know about.  We won’t give you all the details, you’ll have to check out the video below.

Highlights include the removal of the 59FPS glitch, a solid 60fps experience in portable mode, improved loading times, smooth performing split screen mode and lack of anti-aliasing. Still, they were greatly impressed by what Nintendo was able to accomplish with this port, which bodes well for the titles eventual release.

You can also check out the written full breakdown here.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releases on April 28th, 2017, for the Nintendo Switch.
