Corrin Amiibo Apparently Still Coming

Nintendo decided to drop a lot of Fire Emblem news today, the big one being a special edition of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, along with a new trailer for the game as well. However, Nintendo announced in the press release for the special edition that something else is coming…the Corrin Amiibo.

If you recall, the Corrin Amiibo, along with Cloud and Bayonetta, were announced as the final Smash Bros Wii U/3DS Amiibo to be released…yet…that was a VERY long time ago, and we’ve honestly not heard anything in terms of a release date for any of them.

Though the press release doesn’t say that he’ll come out on a specific date, it does say that he’s “upcoming”, which could mean that he’ll arrive before Fire Emblem Echoes releases on May 19th.

Also though, the Corrin Amiibo will work with the New Nintendo 3DS, as well as the Amiibo scanner for the platform to create an “illusionary hero” that’ll help your characters in the game. This goes for Marth, Ike, Roy, Robin, and Lucina too.

No word on Cloud of Bayonetta yet though…one day…one day…
