Destiny 2 is real, Reveal Trailer On March 30 and Timed PS4 Content

By Keith MitchellMarch 28, 2017
Destiny 2

Looks like Bungie has been busy this week. First, they announced, sorta, that Destiny 2 was a thing. Only, they simply gave us a Destiny logo and nothing else. Then today, they dropped their “Last Call Teaser Trailer”, with Cayde-6 recalling a past experience he had. Of course, Nathan Fillion is back and reprising his role, which was nice to hear.

Followed up with yet another announced for the actual Destiny 2 reveal trailer, which drops on March 30th, 2017. I’m pretty sure that Destiny fans everywhere are pretty excited.

Yet, there’s still a bit of news that I still don’t agree with. Over on the Sony PlayStation channel, there was a slightly different “Last Call Teaser Trailer”, one that lasted a few seconds longer. In this trailer, we see at the end that the PlayStation 4 will see yet again some timed exclusive content. And similar to the original Destiny, we’re looking at a one-year lock-in, with the timed exclusive content lasted until Fall 2018.

Pretty frustrating to Xbox One games and possible PC gamers, if this does make it to the PC. Call me old-fashioned, but I preferred when 3rd party content was mutually open to all platforms.

Lastly, I really hope we’ll get a PC announcement. Please make it so Bungie and Activision.
